Unitech Training Academy was granted a license by the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education on April 24, 1997 and became a fully operational proprietary school. Beginning with one program, the Certified Nursing Assistant program, the school now offers other programs to meet the needs and demands of the community and surrounding parishes pertaining primarily to the Allied Health Field. Unitech Training Academy is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Regents and was accredited by the Council on Occupational Education in June 2003.

The best about Unitech was having the opportunity to teach the EPT Program. Will miss each and every one of the students and wish them nothing but the Greatest of Success.
It’s an amazing place to work. I began here just as a sub and was later offered a part-time position snow I’m full-time. Everyone here works a team, the students are amazing and enjoy being here. We offer a lot and get more in return knowing the difference we are making in the lives of others.
Lots of pressure from administration. Your best is never good enough! Great pay but you best believe you earn it! They did have a lot of perks like trips, shoe parties (free shoes!!), trainings, etc.
I absolutely love working at UTA!!! I love my co workers and the friendly environment!! It’s such a positive atmosphere, and you’re surrounded by people who value you!
For years I felt as if I was working for a check... Now finding Unitech, I don't feel as I am working to get paid. .. I work hard and get paid in so many ways.... From the empowerment from management, and the fact I feel as if my peers are family, the changes in the students lives is so much payment in it's self .. then there is a paycheck that comes along and trust me, their appreciation shows!
They really need to bring in instructors with actual college degrees and not just experience. Also need to tell these students the truth about the pay scales after graduation and STOP overcharging for the certification. They have local hospital offtering the same thing for less than triple of the costing.
Instructors are not backed by management...students are allowed to disrespect staff with no consequences. Management is not consistent across the board with staff members.
Unitech has a comfortable family atmosphere. The instructors and administrators care about their students, and do everything possible to help them succeed in their careers.
