Zeeland Vision has been well established in West Michigan for over 60 years. The practice originated in 1950 with Dr. Gordon Deur at 1989 96th Avenue, which is located across business 1-96 to the south of where the practice is located today. Ten years later, Dr. Marvin Goeman joined Dr. Deur in practice. Throughout the 1960's, doctors Deur and Goeman prided themselves on being on the cutting edge in contact lenses and spectacle lens technology. In 1974, they invited Dr. Stan Konynenbelt to join the practice where he brought new life and insight to an already flourishing community of patients. Shortly after Dr. Goeman passed away, Dr. Thomas Bock was introduced to Zeeland Vision in 1979. For the next several years, doctors Bock and Konynenbelt worked hard to establish a loyal patient base by providing excellent vision care with a personal touch. In 1987, they decided to move to a new building located at 300 Terrace Square, which was only a few hundred yards to the north of the existing building. After 15 years in that building and added growth to the practice, a new office was built in 2002 a few hundred feet west of the old location. This location is where the practice resides today. As Zeeland Vision has continued to grow and expand a new generation of doctors has emerged. In 2006, Dr. Aaron Miller joined Zeeland Vision's optometric group. Most recently, in 2010, Dr. Stan's son, Dr. Brian Konynenbelt, was welcomed to the practice. Zeeland Vision is now able to offer the combined strengths of advanced training and technology to the wisdom of experience. his unique combination has strengthened Zeeland Vision's commitment to excellence in all aspects of eyecare.
