MISSION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY

San Francisco's Mission District has always been a supportive place for low-income and immigrant Latinos, but it's now one of the most unaffordable neighborhoods in the country. In just one decade, 8,000 Latinos had been forced from their homes ' that's over 25 percent of this community. MEDA is turning the curve on displacement of Latinos, working families and small businesses in the Mission District, helping them not just survive, but thrive. Our work focuses on affordable housing, jobs, small-business development, financial coaching, free tax preparation, education and more.
