Responsibilities:
- Conduct document review and analysis for discovery purposes
- Assist attorneys in preparing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Coordinate and manage case files, including organizing and maintaining documents
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness materials
- Manage and maintain electronic databases and case management systems
- Perform data entry and file management tasks
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Transcribe dictations and prepare legal documents from verbal or written instructions
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and processes
- Proficiency in document review and analysis
- Excellent project management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis
- Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail
- Ability to organize and maintain case files effectively
- Knowledge of contract law and legal terminology
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or in an administrative role within a law firm is preferred
