Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery is a premier Orthopedic Surgery practice located in Manchester CT. We have an immediate need for a full time Medical Records Specialist to join our team. The primary focus of the Medical Records Specialist is to assure compliance and accuracy of patient records and efficiency for billing and compliance purposes. Audits information for accuracy and completeness.
You will be responsible to scan and file each patient record after assurance that the information is accurate and compliant for HIPAA and billing purposes. You'll maintain an organized filing system and be responsible for the dictation as well as the auditing of records to accomplish the goal of efficiency and compliance.
The chosen candidate may also be required to cross train to assist in other areas if needed.
