The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Livingston is accepting applications for the position of Building Construction Technology Instructor at the main campus.

Duties: The Building Construction Technology Instructor is responsible for:
· Providing individualized instruction to high school and adult student to prepare them for work in the construction industry.
· Developing and updating curriculum and selecting and developing teaching methods to effectively provide individualized instruction
· Provide instruction in the theory and hands-on skills in the areas including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, brick/block laying, construction math, worker ethics and safety.
· Monitoring, grading, and evaluating individual student progress, and maintaining student records in the college’s student records management system.
· Participating in the recruitment of students and placement of students in the construction field.
· Maintaining an active advisory committee; cooperate with outside agencies; and supervising and follow-up on students in cooperative education.
· Working with Dual Enrollment Instructors on programs of study and curriculum for BCT programs
· Participating in professional development activities to stay abreast of emerging technologies in the construction field.
· Performing other duties as may be assigned by the President and Vice President of the College.
