Essential Tasks:
- Meet with representatives of BoCC departments to receipt, audit, and deposit their revenue collections; and enter transactions in Oracle.
- Analyze daily bank transactions to insure that they are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare daily bank deposits.
- Maintain petty cash accounts.
- Perform required month-end and year-end procedures to insure that revenue is recorded in the correct period.
- Receipt, track and record Public Service Tax Revenue; send past due notices to customers and reconcile collections to the General Ledger monthly.
- Provide a high quality of service to both internal and external customers.
- Being able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage work to meet necessary time requirements and work load.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail
- Ability to operate a PC and other office equipment.
- Ability to learn software applications used to perform job tasks.
- Previous banking or cash handling experience is advantageous.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma.
