Assistant Campus Recreation Director administers and promotes all non-varsity, club (intramural) sports and wellness program. Plans and organizes campus-wide recreational programs for all students, faculty, and staff. Being an Assistant Campus Recreation Director may supervise student staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.   • Seeking qualified applicants for the Campus Recreation Graduate Assistant position. The position can be a one-year or two-year track. Available programs include Master of Science in Business - Sports Management Track; Master of Education (M.Ed.); or Master of Science in Business - Design & Innovation Track.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist in the planning and promotion of all intramural and Campus Recreation programming.
    • Assist with day-of-event logistics for every intramural and Campus recreation event.
    • Supervise student employees for our campus recreation facilities.
    • Assist student leads with the scheduling of student employees
    • Run the social media accounts for Campus Recreation and Intramurals.
    • Assist with maintaining a clean and inviting presentation in all of our campus recreation facilities.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • A bachelor's degree
    • Admission into Carthage College's graduate program
    • Previous experience working with recreation programs or facilities.
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
    • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
