Delight Pastry is looking for a Baker to prepare different types of pastries and a wide range of french desserts, croissants and Danishes. Baker responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning, mixing dough, preparing fillings and glazing pastries. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker using creative techniques. Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and icing.- Ensure the quality and presentation of all pastry items- Assist in the preparation and execution of catering orders.- Maintain a clean and organized work area.- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.- Familiar with scaling, mixing, and emulsification methods.- Must be able to work on your feet for extended period of time.- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.- Highly organized and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/diverse duties while determining appropriate priorities for their completion.- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Requirements:- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in pastry decoration.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
