Business Development Supervisor identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers. Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives. Being a Business Development Supervisor is responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing clients. Acquires new customers, retains and expands existing customer relationships. Additionally, Business Development Supervisor develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel. Responsible for meeting sales volume and revenue goals and standards for activity, such as number of sales calls. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Overview:
    We are seeking a dynamic and driven candidate to join our Business Development and Analysis Team to assist in contributing to the overall growth and success of the company as we strive to provide the highest level of service to our valued customers. As part of our BDA team, you will play a crucial role in driving our business growth by conducting product research, analyzing competitor offerings, generating customized quotes, and providing exceptional customer service. Your warm and friendly voice, combined with your technical proficiency and attention to detail, will contribute to our success in meeting customer needs and exceeding their expectations over our competitors. This is a multi-faceted position requiring capability in learning new technology, ability to juggle multiple tasks at one time in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Product Research: Conduct thorough research on our diverse range of medical and laboratory supply products, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and market trends.
    • Competitor Analysis: Compare and cross-reference our product offerings with those of our competitors, identifying unique selling points and areas for improvement.
    • Quote Generation: Collaborate with customers to understand their specific needs and requirements, utilizing your expertise to generate accurate and tailored quotes that align with their preferences.
    • Customer Support and Data Entry: Ensure accurate and timely entry of customer information, product details, quotes, and other relevant data. Be available on a low volume call queue to promptly respond to customer inquiries regarding quotations and product specifications, providing exceptionally friendly and helpful service.
    • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with customers, gaining an understanding of their ongoing needs and effectively communicating updates, promotions, and new product offerings.
    • Inter Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team to provide product knowledge, customer insights, and competitive analysis. Cooperate with Marketing on promotions based on current events and trending topics. Team up with Purchasing to locate reliable sources with the best prices for the products our customers need.

    Requirements

    • Must be within commutable distance to Lakewood Ranch, FL as first 6 months will be 100% in office
    • Timeliness and attendance are critical to success in this position.
    • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced call center/office environment.
    • Excellent technical proficiency, particularly in Excel and Outlook, data entry, and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to multitask effectively, managing simultaneous customer interactions while accurately completing administrative tasks.
    • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team is a MUST.
    • Attention to detail and ability to conduct research is a MUST.
    • Knowledge of medical supplies or healthcare industry preferred.
