Job Summary: The Controller will lead the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounting staff workload and productivity.
- Oversee Accounting Department operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and payroll.
- Identify and address training needs within the team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enforce accounting policies and controls to minimize fraud risk.
- Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Establish performance benchmarks for organizational assessment.
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, reporting variations to the Executive Board.
- Provide monthly financial analysis to the Executive Board.
- Assist external auditors and facilitate audits.
- Manage regulatory filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Ensure adherence to government regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including biweekly payroll processing for employees.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in MS Dynamics, Management Reporter, and tax preparation software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
