- We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in the Stone/Glass/Concrete Manufacturing industry, based in Sumter, South Carolina. This role involves providing technical assistance to users, maintaining computer hardware and software, assisting in network configurations, and implementing security measures. Responsibilities:• Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless user experience.• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including performing regular system updates and upgrades to optimize performance and security.• Assist in the configuration and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) and wireless networks, troubleshoot network connectivity issues, and collaborate with network administrators to resolve complex problems.• Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes, create and update documentation for IT procedures and user guides to enhance the knowledge base.• Implement and enforce security measures to protect the organization's data and systems, stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, and assist in implementing preventive measures.• Collaborate with IT team members to develop and implement IT strategies, provide input on technology upgrades and improvements to enhance overall system performance.• Conduct training sessions for end-users on basic IT skills and best practices, keep users informed about system changes and updates.Skills:• Proficiency in Windows OS, Basic Network Troubleshooting, Hardware & Software Installation, Break Fix, MS Office 365, Desktop Hardware, Desktop Imaging.
