Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist with various tasks related to legal proceedings and document management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

- communication with potential clients and assist in case intake till closing.
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- Organize and maintain client files, both physical and electronic
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys
- Manage document management systems and ensure all files are properly organized and accessible
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with the preparation of trial materials and exhibits
- Perform general clerical duties, such as answering phones, filing documents, and maintaining office supplies

Experience:
- Previous experience as a criminal Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using document management systems and legal software
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Must be bilingual and able to work on a very fast pace environment and ability to multi task.
