Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist will prepare and manage contracts for the Aging and Disability Services Division that include contracting for providers to serve older adults and adults with disabilities for Medicaid Case Management clients and non-Medicaid clients. Types of services could include TXIX Medicaid Case Management services, Nutrition, Transportation, Homecare, Respite Family Caregiver Services & other long-term care service areas. This individual will monitor agencies ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local fund source requirements and program guidelines while also providing technical assistance. This position will report to a Grants & Contracts Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, a human services field, or related field (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).
Experience: Requires a minimum of two years professional experience in contract administration, budget management, planning, human services administration.

The full salary range for this position is $40.02 - $46.71 per hour.
