SUMMARY:
The Minneapolis College of Art and Design seeks applicants for part-time, temporary teaching assistant positions in our Continuing Education Summer Youth Programs. A variety of positions are available to work with elementary and high school students. This position is ideal for college students seeking a temporary summer position to gain experience in the classroom and learn from accomplished art educators.
The elementary art program introduces students to the world of art and ideas through week-long sessions that combine creative themes with fun and challenging art projects. Approximately 20 hours per week, June 13- August 6, 2024.
The high school art program provides students the chance to complete rigorous coursework while exploring Animation, Character Design, Drawing, Illustration, Painting and Photography. Approximately 30 hours per week, July 10-30, 2024. These positions must be sensitive to college needs, employee and student goodwill, and overall brand equity of MCAD as an employer and educational institution.
DETAILS: This is a part time, non-benefited position expected to work 20-30 hours a week. This position reports to Youth & Teen Program Coordinator and is paid $15.57 hourly.
