    Hunting, Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, Internal Auditor and Document Controller to join our team in Fryeburg, ME. The primary responsibility of the Internal Auditor and Document Controller is to evaluate process and behavioral compliance to the quality management system.  The secondary responsibility is to manage in-use document revision integrity through distribution, collection and control of customer blueprints and specifications.  The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of related work experience. Effective verbal and written communication are essential skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform and record internal audits of the quality management system, production process, products, and various department workstations.
    • Document system violations as well as opportunities for improvement and follow to closure.
    • Schedule and perform follow-up audits, as necessary.
    • Provide support for external certification and customer audits.
    • Support department goals through outstanding service, attention to detail, and demonstrating a collaborative, positive environment with colleagues.
    • Document Control tasks that include:
      • Managing company documents to ensure that relevant versions are available at points of use.
      • Preventing unintended use of obsolete documents by removing from distribution or applying suitable identification and control.
      • Distribution, collection, and control of customer blueprints and specifications.
      • Support deviation report and corrective action records, follow-up, and closure.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Quality auditing experience preferred.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
    • Experience working in a professional office environment.
    • Self-directed and resourceful with regard to individual and team problem solving.
    • Initiates new processes or ideas and channels appropriately to improve customer service within quality guidelines.
    • Maintain efficient work habits, including time management, attendance, punctuality, safety, and appropriate use of resources.
    • Organized and strong attention to detail.
    • Effective written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to maintain systems of organization.

    Work Environment/Conditions

    • Monday to Friday, day shift schedule, 8 or more hours per day
