Document Imaging Supervisor oversees personnel responsible for operating document imaging equipment for use in the creation of images or text. Medical Receptionist Supervisor- Imaging Center

  • IN THIS ROLE...
    You will supervise reception staff, help manage schedules, and work closely with the site manager. Other daily tasks include, helping patients, office administrators and third party vendors schedule various imaging studies, including mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET/CT, DEXA Scans, X-Rays, etc. You will answer incoming phone calls and follow up on appointment requests submitted online.

    In many instances, you will be the first interaction with our practice for many patients and physician offices, and set the tone for offering them a superior experience in choosing Southtowns Radiology.

    Your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Developing a specific understanding of the exams and procedures offered at the offices.
    • Accurately scheduling patients for exams in a timely fashion.
    • Providing a pleasant interaction with patients and providers.
    • Ensuring patient demographics and insurance information are complete and accurate.
    • Developing a detailed understanding of health insurances and radiology procedures needed to complete the billing process.
    • Completing tasks related to patient demographics and ordered imaging studies prior to the patient arriving for the exam.
    • Working with the team as it relates to scheduling exams and the duties within the department.
    • Proficiency on the computer systems used in the offices, specifically the RIS system.
    • Understanding HIPAA and HITECH and following them completely.
    • Using practice issued software and Google Suite, for office communication and remaining updated on information within the practice.
    • The scope of the position may change as necessitated by business demands.

    You must have knowledge of insurances, authorization procedures and general medical terminology. Supervisor/Management experience and medical office experience is required. The ideal candidate must be approachable, organized, and should be comfortable delegating tasks and problem solving while working in a high volume, fast paced environment.

    You will be a successful candidate if you are highly organized, enjoy talking with people over the phone, are helpful and courteous, and are able to move between tasks quickly and efficiently.
