Location: Hybrid in the Stennis Space Center, MS, Tallahassee, FL or Tampa, FL areas
We are seeking an IT Specialist to support end users with the use of web-based applications and troubleshooting hardware or service connectivity issues. This role will also assist with managing, monitoring, and documenting network infrastructure as well as helpdesk issue tracking.
Essential Functions

Stay up to date with the latest technologies relevant to the role and company offerings.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software systems.
Set up and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
Provide technical support to end-users via phone or email.
Assist with the administration of network services.
Resolve user issues and requests.
Document and track all support activities.
Ensure compliance with security protocols and implement necessary measures.
Required skills and abilities to effectively perform this position include, but are not limited to:
Understanding of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and techniques.
Thoroughness in documenting issues, resolutions, and procedures.
Accuracy in following troubleshooting steps and ensuring tasks are completed correctly.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize them based on urgency and impact.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, especially in critical situations such as system outages.
Proficiency in documenting technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
Ability to generate reports on support activities, issue trends, and resolutions.
High School Diploma required. Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
2-4 years of related experience.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
Work Environment, Programs, and Tools
This position operates in a professional remote environment and requires individual to type, sit, stand, talk, and listen.
Required knowledge of the following tools, equipment, and programs includes: computers, phones, copier/scanner/fax, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position will be hybrid at either our Stennis Space Center, MS, Tallahassee, FL, or Tampa, FL locations for co-working capability. This position is a full time non-exempt position, expected to work 40 hours per week. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of the typical work hours when needed to support business needs.
Significant travel is not expected for this role.
