Principal ERP Management Consultant
  • ERP Advisors Group
  • Lakewood, CO FULL_TIME
  • Description

ERP Advisors Group is currently looking to add a Principal ERP Management Consultant to our expanding team to be a Project Lead for our Needs Analysis, Software Selection, and Implementation projects. This is a client-facing advisory role, not a technical developer role.

The Principal ERP Management Consultant advises our mid-market clients (CFOs, Controllers, Directors of IT, and CEOs) on their biggest software initiatives - ERP, CRM, HCM, and associated best-of-breed applications. This role requires direct ERP advisory consulting experience. The right candidate must already have the skill set to be a project leader, only needing familiarization with ERP Advisors Groups tools and methodology.

To qualify as a Principal ERP Management Consultant, a candidate must have a breadth of experience across many industries (Professional Services, e-Commerce, Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, Software, Nonprofits, etc.) and many prevalent Tier 1 and Tier 2 ERP vendors (Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Intacct, Infor, Oracle, Acumatica, etc.) The right candidate will have a proven record of high weekly billable hours, project budget oversight, change order creation, project planning, and excellent MS Office skills. Previous ERP Business Case development, ERP Selection, and ERP Implementation experience are prerequisites for consideration in this role.

    Requirements

Principal ERP Management Consultant Job Duties:

    • Prepare and be responsible for deliverables (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Smartsheet) that show an excellent understanding of the client's business processes and requirements.

    • Effortlessly take typewritten notes during back-to-back onsite client meetings on a Mac laptop.
    • Able to work in a team setting with an Analyst, Consultant, and Quality Lead on each project and able to navigate the correct way to leverage each person’s talents.
    • Coordinate with junior staff on projects to ensure the completion of all project deliverables and project tasks in time for a quality review before client meetings.
    • Monitor and anticipate project overages that will necessitate a change order, fully document the reasons, the impact on timing, any additional costs, and provide advocacy for the change request process.
    • Provide weekly status updates to clients as appropriate.
    • Identify opportunities to staff additional resources on the project such as data migration assistance, business analyst tasks, integration management, additional software selections, etc.
    • Use EAG’s tools and methodology to monitor each phase of the project.
    • Train on EAG’s methodology for Needs, Selection, and Implementation.
    • Occasional travel (Less than 20%).

    • Perform key analysis without supervision, including transforming interview notes into a well-thought-out analysis of the client's pain points and limitations to growth. This must be done with concise, precise thoughts communicated with clear concepts.
    • Finalize process diagrams that pictorially relate to the client's business processes.
    • Present client with recommended software type and successfully lead into the client to the next phase of work.

    • Manage the relationship between the client and the vendor to ensure an efficient and successful implementation.
    • Identify and mitigate any risks and work with the EAG Project Coordinator to track the completion of milestones and tasks.

    Principal ERP Management Consultant Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of direct ERP management consulting experience – consulting C-level executives on their software needs, software selection and ERP implementations with current go-forward products, not just legacy products like JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, or Oracle EBS.
