Estate Planning Director directs all aspects of the estate planning function including sales, staffing, and supervision. Participates in training and estate planning workshops. Being an Estate Planning Director ensures that the agency stays abreast of regulatory guidelines and new trends in the field. Researches and advises on tax, technical, and legal questions. Additionally, Estate Planning Director introduces new life products to the field and contributes to design of related software and tools. May be a speaker at insurance conferences or meetings. Requires a bachelor's degree of business, marketing, or mathematics. Typically reports to top management. May require Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). The Estate Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Those duties include:
1. Greeting and seating clients;
2. Answering phone calls;
3. Scheduling and confirming appointments;
4. Maintaining the lobby and conference rooms;
5. Mailing and emailing documents to clients; and
6. Various duties related to the overall client experience.
The ideal candidate will have these qualities:
1. Two years of reception/service industry experience;
2. Great attention to detail (this might be the most important of all);
3. Comfort working in a small team environment (i.e. not always a lot of people to hang out and talk with);
4. Easy travel to Shelby Township;
5. Personable (i.e. good client service qualities);
6. Great organizational skills and pride in their work; and
7. Works well with others
