Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department. This is a full-time position located in 556 mason ave Daytona Beach.
Duties
Duties:
- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
- Listen to customers' concerns and accurately document their vehicle issues
- Provide accurate estimates for automotive repairs and services
- Schedule appointments and manage the service department's calendar
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any additional repairs needed
- Process payment transactions and maintain accurate records
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience
- Previous experience in auto service management or as a Service Writer is preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with auto estimating and aligning software is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical customers
- Sales experience is beneficial for upselling additional services
- Experience in tire service, air brake, auto body repair, or oil change is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes
- Familiarity with air brake systems, diesel engine repair, oil changes, and auto service management
- Experience in service writing, auto estimating, and automotive sales is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
