Health Insurance Operations Manager jobs in Austin, TX
Health Insurance Operations Manager manages and maintains daily health insurance operations in multiple service areas, including account installation, implementation, client support, contract administration, claim processing, and enrollment and eligibility. Handles and settles complicated customer service issues which can not be resolved by lower level staff. Being a Health Insurance Operations Manager monitors performance of each service area. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Health Insurance Operations Manager typically reports to senior management or Director. The Health Insurance Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Health Insurance Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Description
As a District Life and Financial Specialist you will build your own book of business, while supporting our existing 22 storefronts in the Austin, Texas market. Your role will be to assist agency owners, and their team members as the quote, underwrite, and close sales, through our extensive product portfolio.
The specialist will be responsible for increasing life insurance and financial sales through marketing efforts, illustration support, coaching sessions, training, and problem solving. This position will be in direct support between clients and agencies.
The Life and Financial Specialist will also be responsible for meeting their own sales and prospecting targets, in addition to marketing to our 34,000 policy holders for cross sell opportunities.

- Serve as a resource to assist our agency owners in achieving sales goals
- Achieve quarterly sales targets
- Drive engagement in life and financial service products
- Grow sales revenue by utilizing phone, email and potential client lists.
- Attend industry events to network and build relationships.
- Develop and implement new marketing and sales strategies.
- Participate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Requirements
- Problem-Solving Capabilities.
- A Life & Health Insurance license is required.
- Series 6 & 63 certifications preferred.
- Successful sales background.
- Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish is beneficial.
