    One of our clients is looking for a Help Desk Support Specialist.

    Please Note:

    • Basically its 1-2 days / week for 1 month
    • If all goes well potential extension for 6 months
    • If it continues to go well, potential for more hours per week

    Title: Help Desk Support Specialist

    Duration: 1 Month (This will be 1 or 2 days a week, one will be Wednesday)

    Hourly: $25 per hour

    Location: Chattanooga, TN

    Description

    In this position you will provide support of various types of Office Technology equipment such as: PC systems, video conferencing and collaboration systems, network systems and copiers/plotters. This includes direct support to end users and some support to the associated technology infrastructure.

    You will trouble shoot computer and other office technology related hardware and software problems while offering technical support and guidance to users, in person or remotely. You will collaborate with other office technology and computing systems support groups.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide prompt and courteous technical support to end users, resolving issues and offering guidance.
    • Set up and install PCs and monitors, ensuring optimal functionality.
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.
    • Perform PC swaps for users, including imaging, setup, data transfer, delivery, and installation.
    • Support videoconferencing and audio/video equipment.
    • Coordinate service and maintenance for office technology equipment such as copiers and plotters.
    • Report technology-related issues and provide systems reports.
    • Provide regular communications with your supervisor on work activities and status
    • Utilize Helpdesk ticketing and PC technician task management tools.

    Must to Have:

    • Related experience in a corporate environment is a plus
    • Strong working knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware components, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office
    • Basic Knowledge of wired and wireless networking systems
    • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to maintain regular attendance and timeliness
    • Ability to follow established guidelines, be organized and see tasks through to completion
    • Must be self-motivated, capable of multitasking, have excellent time management skills and be able to work well in a team environment
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to forty (40) pounds (e.g. computer, monitor, misc equipment etc.)
    • Occasional travel will be required to other S&L office locations
