Help Desk Support, Sr. responds to end-user requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoots and resolves basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues. Being a Help Desk Support, Sr. uses established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Utilizes product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Additionally, Help Desk Support, Sr. advises users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed. Escalates problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution. May support installs or upgrades of software or devices, set up user profiles, or re-set passwords. Fulfills all service level standards for response time and quality. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Help Desk Support, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. One of our clients located in Hialeah, FL is searching for a Help Desk Specialist. The Help Desk Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to personal workstations (desktops and laptops) and the productivity software installed. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic
programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming phone calls and help desk e-mails, assuring appropriate and timely response to these requests.
Ensures a positive end-to-end user experience and provides a single point-of-contact for end user.
Provide technical support for all Central Office Staff either in person or over the phone.
Use Help Desk software to log, monitor and close end user support tickets.
Becomes proficient with Help Desk software and tools to perform daily duties.
Participate in onboarding process.
Walk users through problem-solving process.
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
Clean up computers.
Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN)
Install computer peripherals for users.
Follow up with users to ensure issue has been resolved.
Qualifications
Minimum Associate degree or related field
Must have these certifications: A , N , CCNA
Experience working with the Microsoft Windows PC platform and network experience
Written/Verbal communication proficiency in the English language
