HRIS Manager manages and oversees an organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Develops, implements, and modifies software and hardware requirements based on changing business requirements. Being a HRIS Manager maintains internal database files and tables, and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff. Provides the necessary training to meet end users needs. Additionally, HRIS Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to Director. The HRIS Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     Job Description

    The Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst will be responsible for the management support and optimization of the HRIS and all other systems utilized by the HR Department. This role involves analyzing HR processes and data, implementing system improvements, ensuring data integrity, training managers and employees, responding to systems support requests and ensuring data integrity to support strategic HR decisions and operations. The incumbent will contribute to a variety of HR organizational project initiatives and Human Resources reporting as needed. This includes compensation and reporting for ACA and OSHA, as well as other reporting needs.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management, Business Information or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in Ceridian Dayforce, or similar HRIS provider.
    • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as HRIS Administrator or Analyst or related field.
    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to train employees in HR-related systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to function within a professional environment conducting oneself with responsibility, integrity, accountability, and excellence.
    • Demonstrated detail orientation, paying close attention to task elements and noticing minor details and inconsistencies. Proven ability to give a task undivided attention and catch mistakes.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, adhering to authorized restrictions on access and disclosure, including protecting personal privacy and proprietary information
    • YMCA experience is a plus!
    Essential Functions
    • Manage the daily operation of the HRIS, ensuring system performance, data integrity, and compliance with data protection laws.
    • Serve as the liaison between HR, Payroll, and external vendors to enhance system capabilities and resolve any technical issues.
    • Conducts market and trend surveys and studies, analyzes and compiles results, assists with the development of HR plans and strategies including making recommendations based on Metro YMCA needs and market trends.
    • Supports the Sr. HR Generalists with the review and update of job descriptions for consistency, accuracy, and currency. This collaboration includes conducting job audits, performing job analysis, and making recommendations to ensure internal equity is maintained, FLSA status complies with federal law, and grade placement is appropriate.
    • Supports the development and ongoing administration of both exempt and nonexempt compensation plans.
    • Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Collaborate with HR team members to identify system needs, design enhancements, and implement new modules or features to improve HR processes.
    • Develop and maintain customized reports and dashboards to meet the needs of HR and management, providing actionable insights into workforce analytics.
    • Train HR Staff and users in HR systems, including creating user guides and support materials. Provides ongoing training, systems solutions, and support to the HR department and other organizational leaders, through data analysis, modeling, report creation and customization, workflow analysis and mapping, dashboards, and development of reporting standards and templates.
    • Manages systems workflow across the employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits enrollment, data records management, compliance, payroll, performance management, termination, and associated operating procedures.
    • Manages YMCA benefits transactions and processes including yearly open enrollment and related reporting, as well as new hire and ongoing enrollments, coverage changes, qualifying life event changes, ACA filing and administering retirement plans.
    • Oversees the ongoing operation of the Affordable Care Act recordkeeping systems. Serves as the key contact and liaison with various benefits vendors.
    • Schedules and executes data and file updates, conversions, compliance updates, and mass change initiatives.
    • Determines the best methods of data transfer and implements solutions between HR systems.
    • Spearheads the HR systems integrations and automation projects to help scale and improve talent management infrastructure and documentation processing and management.
    • Assists in maintaining HR events calendar and employee resource webpages.
    • Participates in the selection and implementation of new HR technology solutions.
    • Serves as back-up to records management in recruitment, pre-employment, onboarding, and updating/maintaining employee records, and the management of personnel files.
    • Ensures regulatory compliance with applicable state and federal laws such as ACA, EEO, HIPPA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and Worker’s Compensation. Analyzes the potential impact of new legislation and regulations.
    • Remains current with the latest HRIS trends and best practices to recommend improvements.
    • Works on a wide variety of projects simultaneously and can work with confidential documents and issues appropriately.
    • Attends training sessions and seminars related to Human Resources.
    • Articulate and model YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
    • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
