Human Resources Director plans and oversees human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Being a Human Resources Director maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Implements an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes and provide data and reporting on HR activity. Additionally, Human Resources Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Human Resources Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Human Resources Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and executing HR strategies to support organizational goals and drive employee engagement and retention.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement human resource strategies and initiatives that align with the company's mission, vision, and values in the areas of talent acquisition, staffing, employee processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, and employee relations and retention.
    • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create an inclusive and equitable workplace for all employees.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations and maintain HR policies and procedures.
    • Partner with senior leadership to identify/recruit workforce needs and develop talent management strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
    • Develop and maintain active relationships with higher education institutions and placement offices and manage and provide mentorship for the intern program.
    • Manage employee training and development program to provide employees a career growth path.
    • Organize and maintain company-wide performance management program and manage the Employee Performance Appraisal Program.
    • Develop compensation strategy.
    • Maintain and administer all benefit plans and negotiate with benefit providers to secure competitive benefits for LSINC employees; serve as point of contact between employees and benefits providers and the payroll service providers to aid in the resolution of any issues.
    • Handle conflict resolution.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or another related field; master's degree preferred.
    • 10 years of progressive experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organizational success.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
    • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Experience with Paylocity and ApplicantPro preferred, but will accept experience with other comparable HR service providers and solutions.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
