Job Summary

Customer Service Representative

Farmers Union Insurance Agency in West Fargo, ND is looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative for a small office environment. The candidate will be responsible for handling customer questions, sales support, answering phones, and general office duties. As the first point-of-contact, the CSR will need to provide accurate and quick support with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism. A positive, patient, empathetic, adaptable, customer-service focused attitude is needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a fast learner who will be able to use their knowledge to solve problems quickly and be extremely organized. He or she should have at least 3 years of customer service experience, a two year Associates Degree, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong computer and time management skills. Furthermore, he or she will need to be able to effectively promote the company’s products and services. The CSR must be organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator; both verbal and written.

Normal Office Hours

• 8:30 - 5:00 Monday - Friday

Responsibilities and Duties

• Answer customer/client requests or inquiries regarding services, products, billings, and claims
• Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner by phone or in person
• Provide expert information to new and existing clients, as well as field and answer questions thoroughly
• Responsible for improving customer retention through programs and services provided to the customer
• Develop systems and procedures for improving overall client satisfaction
• Continually maintain working knowledge of all company products, services and promotions
• Offer administrative support to the team when needed
• Maintain record of customer interactions and transactions
• A work ethic based on dedication to the company and its mission
• Promote various marketing initiatives to prospective customers as appropriate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,300.00 - $4,000.00 per month
