About the Position:
Provide liaison services between our Conveyor and MIR businesses and IT
Able to translate business needs into technical solutions to solve business problems or realize desired business outcomes
Act as business advocate to ensure that needs are understood and satisfied; get results through influence.
Develop and sustain effective working relationships with business and IT stakeholders
Individual accountabilities
Service Management:
- Service Needs: Engage business to determine IT service needs and solutions (note: not hardware specific)

Cost Visibility: Ensure transparency to IT Costs via Service Catalog/IT Budget Plans (CapEx/OpEx)

Issue Resolution: Ensure proper escalation, communications, and follow-up for IT-related issues
Strategy:
- Vision/Strategy: Establish IT vision/strategy for business with IT Service Providers

Roadmap: Maintain roadmap (investments, priorities, overall plan)
-
IT Architecture: Drive awareness and foster business/IT adoption of architectural principles/initiatives
Demand & Project Management:
- Project Demand: Manage demand/requests for IT resources and services

Prioritization: Facilitate priority-setting with project portfolio based on supply/demand principles/ IT system reliability/security, and business value

Project Execution: Ensure project expectations are mutually understood by IT and the business

Audit: Conduct or participate in post implementation review/audit to ensure expectations are met and lessons are learned
Communications:
- Market IT: Provide key internal/external IT education, insights and updates to business/IT

Knowledge Share: Ensure knowledge about business strategies/direction is shared within IT

Needs: Ensure needs are known to appropriate IT service providers
Key linkages & interfaces / most important stakeholders
Issue regular status and partners with Conveyor/MIR senior management teams
Provide strategic guidance regarding Global and Regional IT initiatives and programs
Ensure alignment with global and regional IT strategies and standards - Americas VP-IT, Global ICT leadership, CIO/CDI
Required Experience:
Requirements of the job:
Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and oral, with ability to work in a global company
IT or Business Management and/or consulting experience with broad knowledge of IT services and business analysis
Proven experience leading requirements gathering and discovery
Familiarity with a number of IT field concepts, procedures, and practices. PMI certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, marketing, business, or other related fields, including four to six years working experience in any of the fields
Must be able to work in the US and travel 25%
