Litigation Manager provides guidance and advice to a staff of paralegals or legal assistants involved in prosecuting or defending lawsuits. Monitors timelines and work progress to ensure work is completed on time. Being a Litigation Manager conducts new hire and ongoing training sessions. Requires a thorough knowledge of the organization's products/services. Additionally, Litigation Manager requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to the top legal executive/general counsel. The Litigation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to attorneys, preparing legal documents, researching legal precedents, and assisting with trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, the ability to work independently and efficiently, and a strong understanding of the litigation process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trial by organizing exhibits, gathering and summarizing information, and preparing witness files.
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Organize and maintain files of all legal documents; draft correspondence to clients and opposing counsel.
- Monitor deadlines for filing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents.
