Maintenance Supervisor - Full-Time Position in Waterloo, IA

Our Waterloo-based foundry is seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Supervisor - Full-Time for our offshift operations. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and identifying equipment repairs and improvements. This position is on the 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 11 pm) and may require overtime on weekends or extended weekdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership on safety, environmental, and ergonomic standards and regulations
• Ensure timely completion of environmental, safety, and preventive maintenance work
• Collaborate with maintenance engineering to prioritize projects and purchase repair components
• Ensure proper training, work instructions, and tools for assigned personnel
• Drive safety initiatives and near-miss reporting
• Be available for daily and weekend overtime as needed for production
• Lead employee engagement activities and foster a positive work environment

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience in scheduling and purchasing repair components using SAP Plant Maintenance
• 5 or more years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems
• Effective planning and prioritization skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions
• Good understanding of OSHA CFR 1910 regulations
• Competency in using Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience troubleshooting machines using RS Logix
• Good understanding of 480V Power Distribution
• 5 or more years of experience in foundry maintenance
• 5 or more years of maintenance supervision experience
• Demonstrated team leadership skills
• Experience driving improvements and managing changes
• Familiarity with wage/union employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
• Alternatively, 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a foundry environment
