Meat Department Manager jobs in Pocatello, ID

Nel's Bi Lo Market in Pocatello, ID is looking for one meat cutter / meat department leader to join our 20 person strong team. We are Pocatello's only locally owned and operated grocery store. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated to learn, and has some meat department experience.

Responsibilities

• Cutting & packaging meat for our store.
• Custom cutting beef and wild game.
• Interfacing with customers at the meat counter, and upselling products.
• Answering phone calls sent to the meat department.
• Organizing and leading the team in the meat department.
• Helping create and implement promotions to increase sales.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a meat department or as a meat cutter is preferred.
• Must be able to work full time, including weekends.
• Must have a strong sense of customer service.
• Should have experience using a knife, and feel comfortable doing so.
• Have a ServSafe certification or is willing to obtain one at the cost of the company.
• Must be a team player with a desire to work.
