Member Services Supervisor jobs in Coventry, RI

The Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising the work of Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in a unique, 24 hour individualized community based apartment setting. Responsible for guiding and supporting two participants with a focus on self-determination, choice and decision making as they learn to direct and manage their own services. Assisting them to build independence in all aspects of home and community living including being an active member of their local community and a responsible tenant and neighbor.

Broad Areas of Responsibility

• Participating in Agency activities, serving on committees, and communicating the Agency’s values and principles to others
• Supervising the work of DSP while on shift
• Providing program-specific training to new employees
• Valuing the skills and input of co-workers
• Personal care supports, community integration, supports person-centered thinking, recreational, educational and social skills supports
• Vocational supports
• Environmental maintenance and safety

Minimum Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in providing direct support to recipients of community human services
• Demonstrates excellence in providing Direct Support to individuals served
• Ability to prepare & engage people with intellectual/developmental disabilities in the person-centered planning process
• Excellent organizational skills to be able to plan effectively, efficiently, and calmly
• Good computer skills
• Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle

Desired Qualifications

• An Associates Degree or certificate in a human services field or related experience.
• Supervisory experience or Leadership training.
• 3 years of direct support experience in community human services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $26.75 per hour
