Delmar Nursing and Rehab is a 99 bed skilled nursing facility located in quaint Delmar, Delaware. We are currently seeking a Staff Development Educator who is an energetic, clinical leader passionate about education.

This position is responsible for the education of all employees.

Job Responsibilities :

• Educate a facility wide Infection Control Program.
• Participates in Quality Improvements.
• Oversees annual flu and vaccinations for residents with the Director of Nursing.
• Develop and conducts orientation sessions for all new nursing / general employees.
• Perform pre-employment drug testing, perform PPD testing, both pre-employment and annual. Maintain records for all employees.
• Maintains training programs for the nursing department and identifies areas of interest for presentations.
• Plan, schedule and post monthly calendar of education programs in timely manner.
• Monday through Friday, with the option of a flexible schedule / hours in management role.
• On call rotation.

Qualifications :

• Must have an active RN license in the state of DE.
• Two years professional nursing experience, prior experience as an Educator a plus.
• Possesses effective communication and problem solving skills.
