Assists in providing accurate and clear information to public and other departments. Being a Police Records Clerk may perform other clerical duties including taking photographs, fingerprints, and answering telephone inquiries. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Police Records Clerk typically reports to police sergeant or police lieutenant. The Police Records Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.   • Position Description
    The purpose of this position is to serve as the initial point of contact for citizens conducting business with the Municipal Court. This is accomplished by assisting customers with the payment of fines, court appearances and other court related activities, preparing dockets, receiving and handling cash and assisting with trial preparations. Other duties include processing citations, providing support to the department, and interacting with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.     Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.
