The Process Engineer is responsible for the development, improvement and sometimes commissioning of new and existing installations and processes. The process engineer participates in the project team from concept to implementation.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Range: Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:
Design
-
Interpreting the assignment and collecting technical information.
-
Translating technical information into actual designs (including PFD, P&IDs, layout, mass balance, and hydraulic profile).

Drawing up a plan of action for the commissioning of an installation.

Making modifications to the process, product and/or equipment after possible consultation with the specialist involved.
Advice
-
Advising on the selection of processes, equipment & parts and requests for quotations.
-
Making proposals regarding the optimization of existing and/or the development of new processes, techniques and modifications.

In case of deviation from the assignment (confirmation) / assignment, draw up a draft project proposal and present it to those responsible.

Conducting on-site surveys to provide process technology advice.
Reporting
-
Drawing up regulations for the installation and ensuring that these are included in the manual.

Drawing up process descriptions.
-
Recording research results in a technological report.
Other
-
Monitoring own project schedules and taking appropriate measures in case of deviations.

Performing on-site work as a Commissioning engineer.

Performing all activities that can reasonably be required.
Communication

Discuss the progress of the work and reports with the immediate supervisor(s), internal stakeholders, suppliers, customer, etc..

Maintaining existing and establishing new contacts with suppliers, knowledge networks and other technology partners, aimed at innovation and/or optimization.

University preferably Process / chemical technology Courses

3 years of job-oriented experience.

Knowledge of relevant laws, standards and regulations.

Previous engineering experience related to product design, manufacturing engineering or related experience required.

Experience using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD a plus
