TELUS is seeking an analytical, self-starter and professional Product Marketing Manager to be responsible for bridging the market needs and product strategy with a focus on three main areas of responsibility; Leads definition and implementation of strategic product marketing plans, Ensures strategic plans are based on VOC, market trends and aligned with business objectives, Develops go-to-market strategy in collaboration with the Product, Sales, Operations and Customer Marketing teams. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing within the Agriculture team.

Here's how

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to design and conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends and successfully launch new products / features
• Build and maintain competitive landscape matrix (incumbents, FABs, market size)
• Create and execute launch plans
• Develop and manage product marketing campaigns
• Ensure product release customer / internal communications are aligned with positioning
• Define market segments
• Develop customer and user personas
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of our customers, the problems they are trying to solve, and how they make buying decisions
• Refine market sizing and market opportunity
• Maintain competitor briefs and battle cards
• Partner with the product team on product definition
• Define features, advantages, and benefits for our products by user persona
• Refine product value propositions by customer segment
• Maintain catalog of product features
• Developing product marketing materials, including: demos, product videos, communications, collateral, and product pitch decks
• Contribute to long range planning
• Other responsibilities as determined by the Product Marketing Director

What you bring to the role

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, agriculture or a related field
• 7 years of marketing, product management, sales experience, or a combination of
• Agriculture experience is an asset
• MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing is an asset
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Direct or indirect experience with product positioning and messaging
• Familiarity with market research and analysis techniques
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and engineering teams
• Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and tactics
• Understanding of customer needs and behaviors in crop inputs and agricultural industry
• Team player and flexibility to work on any other projects as required

Career Stream Level - P4

The US base salary range for this position is $100- $140k USD. This position may be eligible for a 15% performance-based BONUS. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within that range, individual pay is determined by work location and a variety of factors, which may include but are not limited, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
