The Production Artist II collaborates with creative teams to understand the intended audience, branding requirements, and positioning of concepts. Develops and creates sketches and other visualizations and produces finished art work for creative projects. Being a Production Artist II applies the concepts of perspective, color theory, anatomy, and composition and utilizes art assets and software tools to produce art work. Translates requirements into required media and formats. In addition, Production Artist II may work on a variety of projects in marketing, advertising, game design, and cinematics. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Production Artist II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Qualified candidates will be scheduled for interviews and required to complete a short vetting task for the role. When selected, you will be virtually onboarded and complete non-disclosure and business agreements. Invoices for payment are submitted at the beginning of each month for the previous month’s work and are paid by direct deposit within 30 days.
Lay out large volumes of content — consistency and speed are key in our workflows
Pour content from Google Docs or Word files into Adobe InDesign, and apply styles provided in shell files/templates or indicated on provided style guides
Update necessary content in headers, title page, etc.
Link content from master InDesign files
Build book files with files in correct order with correct page numbering
Import and apply/accept/verify Adobe InDesign edits as indicated on PDF proof markups
Export book files as PDFs using specified settings
For designated projects, provide setup and design review of PowerPoint or Google Slide presentations.
Must complete a vetting task in InDesign via a shared Dropbox folder
Follow strict file naming conventions and file set-up guidelines
Preflight INDD files for printing
Standard hourly rate: $35/Hour
