We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning, developing, and implementing schedule strategies for mega projects with complex, multi-disciplinary scopes. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills and a deep understanding of project management principles to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and effectively.
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for Nuclear Development projects, incorporating all project phases from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather all necessary data for accurate scheduling.
- Identify potential schedule risks, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines are adhered to.
- Utilize scheduling software to create visual aids, Gantt charts, and other tools to report progress to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead scheduling strategy meetings and provide expert advice on schedule optimization, adjustments, and potential impacts of changes.
- Ensure integration of schedules across multiple projects and disciplines, promoting a cohesive approach to project execution.
- Conduct scenario analysis and planning for best case, probable case, and worst-case scenarios.
- Prepare reports for analyzing variations and comparing baseline approved schedules to progress schedules including critical path method, resource loading, cost loading, manpower, submittals projections of impacts, and recovery plans.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project scheduling, with at least 4 years focused on large-scale, mega projects.
Required abilities and skills
- Experience directly related to life cycle construction projects with a strong understanding of the engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of project management processes, EVM (Earned Value Management), and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex schedules and scenarios clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Experience in Nuclear industry, renewable energy or construction is highly desirable.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
