Proof Operator performs a variety of clerical functions relating to check processing, deposits, withdrawals, and payments. Operates a proof machine which encodes and endorses checks and deposits. Being a Proof Operator finds errors and makes appropriate reconciliations, adjustments, and corrections. May be responsible for batching and distribution. Additionally, Proof Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Proof Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Essential Functions depending on position :

    • Reading information from job tickets, acquire needed materials, load equipment with product and print files.
    • Perform routine maintenance on schedule and according to procedure to promote machine stability and dependability.
    • Monitor stock within production area and initiate timely requests for replenishment.
    • Monitor the printing process to maintain print quality.
    • Understand the machine capabilities to achieve optimum print quality. Care and maintenance of equipment
    • Ensures that the job is set up properly.
    • Accountable to calibrate the digital press at a minimum in-between jobs.
    • Assists in training individuals and other team members as assigned.
    • Complies with established safety procedures and policies.
    • Works with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects and / or validations.
    • Complies with company policies, procedures, and core processes.
    • Performs other job duties as assigned
