Public Relations Manager develops and implements policies and procedures for the public relations department. Maintains favorable public image for employer or client by communicating programs, accomplishments, and/or points of view. Being a Public Relations Manager evaluates all forms of communications before release to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of message and authorizes release. Prepares and distributes news releases, fact sheets, scripts, etc. to media outlets. Additionally, Public Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Public Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Public Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities for a Public Relations Coordinator with Phoebe Allentown:
Promotes and maintains a positive image of Phoebe Ministries by adhering to brand guidelines; creates and facilitates consistent Phoebe-focused narratives and storytelling for external community promotion and internal employee knowledge and understanding; coordinates messaging with interdisciplinary teams, outside advisors, and with Phoebe supervisors and leadership; cultivates relationships with internal and external partners; interacts with the media both on- and off-camera; responds to press requests and inquiries from the public in a timely and professional manner; reports pertinent information to the marketing manager.
Requirements for a Public Relations Coordinator with Phoebe Allentown:
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in related positions normally required.
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Communications or Public Relations.
- Desktop publishing and editing skills preferred, but not required.
