Respiratory Care Manager plans and implements the overall respiratory care policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Respiratory Care Manager directs the activities of the respiratory therapy section. Supervises technical staff and students. Additionally, Respiratory Care Manager prepares departmental budgets and reports. Evaluates new equipment and procedures. Typically requires RRT registration. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Respiratory Care Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. The Respiratory Care Intern provides limited respiratory care procedures designated by submitted clinical skills competency from the accredited Respiratory Care program he/she is enrolled in and validated by the respiratory department. Duties and responsibilities are under the direct ntof a credentialed Respiratory Care Professional. Performance of this job will also require a close working relationship with the medical staff and respiratory care leadership.
