RFP Manager oversees the development of proposals, bids, quotations, RFP responses, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective clients. Manages and meets proposal deadlines by establishing project priorities and due dates for the proposal. Being an RFP Manager collaborates and coordinates with internal contributors and subject matter experts to ensure content is complete, accurate, and maximizes business opportunities. Develops and establishes a repository of templates, standard language, product collateral, exhibits, and other data resources to create high-quality and accurate responses. Additionally, RFP Manager establishes a tracking system with win-loss information. Reviews and analyzes RFP losses to recommend enhancements to products or processes. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The RFP Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for writing, editing, and preparing materials (e.g., online forms/questionnaires, client questions, etc.) in response to RFPs and RFQs. They are also responsible for overall coordination and management of submittals for their assigned RFPs. Some editing and formatting of reports, presentations, and other materials is required.
The successful candidate will work with a variety of people to manage proposal (or other development project) content and lifecycle, while continually tailoring messages for specific audiences and ensuring alignment between response and RFP requirements.
The core responsibility for this position is proposal writing and development. Opportunities to contribute to presentations and other technical writing will evolve as team experience grows.
