The Simulation Operations Specialist (SOS) serves as a resource for various PIH Health clinical and non-clinical departments. Operates and maintains medical simulators and simulator hardware and software, task-trainers, augmented reality and virtual reality systems, learning management systems, and audiovisual systems for the PIH Health Simulation Program. The SOS supports simulation-based learning throughout the PIH Health system and assures simulation operation and utilization within the Simulation Center and in-situ environments, and sustains educational settings featuring skills, competency, and professional training for PIH Health clinical and non-clinical and medical staff. Assists enterprise-wide educators and staff with planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating simulation training events.

Required Experience
Required:
- Associate’s degree in technology or healthcare-related field, or in an equally qualified field.
- Minimum of one year of experience in simulation or related healthcare experience.
- Experienced in operating, managing, and maintaining simulation equipment.
- Experienced in operating, managing, and maintaining learning management systems.
- Experienced in using Microsoft Office and data gathering/interpreting applications.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in technology or healthcare-related field, or in an equally qualified field.
- Five years of experience in simulation.
- Experienced in operating, managing, and maintaining Gaumard and Laerdal simulation equipment.
- Experienced in operating, managing, and maintaining Level 3’s Learning Management System.
- Experienced in audiovisual recording and editing.
- Experienced in 3D printing, task trainer fabrication, and moulage application.
- Licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician or greater.
