The Supplier Business Manager is responsible for developing and managing RFMW’s overall relationship with the supplier. This is accomplished by working with the suppliers’ sales and marketing resources, Product Business Units, and Executive management to develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve profitable growth.
RFMW is an electronic component distributor of RF and microwave products, within the TTI Family of Specialists. The position is remote and can be located anywhere in the US.
Position and promote RFMW with suppliers, customers, and other associated industry participants with the goal of securing RFMW as the preferred partner for suppliers and preferred distributor for customers.
Responsibilities
In concert with the Marketing team, develop and implement marketing plans which result in successful product offerings for RFMW in the present and in the future, by focusing on customer/supplier product issues and opportunities, market forecasts, industry trends and technological advancements.
Facilitate regularly scheduled supplier reviews to ensure exceptional performance to the annual business plan, timely and consistent follow through on commitments and a clear understanding of the value that RFMW brings its suppliers.
Develop strategies to enhance RFMW’s portfolio of product offerings and strategically expand the supplier base to meet business growth objectives. Working in conjunction with Product Management, implements new product launches by effectively delivering training material to field sales and product teams.
Provide direction and support to RFMW’s marketing communications group to develop collateral materials, sales tools, advertising, newsletters and web-based offerings for assigned suppliers’ products. Coordinate co-op promotion budget and communicate effectively to the sales team and the supplier.
Participate with Product Management in the negotiation of supplier contracts for area of responsibility to provide RFMW a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Serve as product expert liaison between the corporate product management group and the sales organization to grow RFMW sales for area of responsibility.
Serve as a consultant to the sales team, get directly involved in supporting major opportunities, and make buddy calls with the sales team if necessary, to provide direct supplier and/or product-based support on a customer sales call.
Ensure key supplier contacts are familiar with all RFMW/XTG resources.
Monitor and communicate supplier performance and quality excellence.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent related work experience preferred. Ten years of progressive industry related experience required, including experience with sales, marketing, management, distribution and manufacturers/suppliers.
Skills & Certifications
- Knowledgeable in the RF Industry
- Creative ability desired to provide creative input to the development of product marketing ideas, strategies, brochures, etc.
- Negotiation and ability to influence, convince and persuade suppliers and internal and external customers.
- Analytical skills to analyze strengths and weaknesses of product marketing efforts and related results.
- Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills for communicating, and building relationships, with extensive internal and external customers.
- Teamwork/collaboration skills to encourage cooperation within the product marketing department and throughout RFMW.
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications at the intermediate level.

Total Annual Compensation: $130,000 - $185,000/year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
