Job Title: Switchboard Operator

Location:Tulsa, OK

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Switchboard Operator to manage a telecommunications system and serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and courteously.
• Transfer calls to appropriate departments or individuals as needed.
• Provide information to callers about the company and its services.
• Take messages accurately and relay them to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
• Operate and maintain the switchboard equipment efficiently.
• Monitor and respond to voicemail messages promptly.
• Assist with administrative tasks as assigned, such as sorting mail or data entry.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a switchboard operator or in a similar role preferred.

Excellent verbal communication skills and a pleasant phone manner.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Proficiency in operating switchboard equipment and basic office software.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
