- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card deck leads, aged leads, bingos, dealer resellers, business directories, web sites and other sources.
- Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads, and sell products and services.
- Emphasize salable features, quote prices/credit terms and prepare sales orders for orders obtained
- Estimate date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules
- Coordinate customer training.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into database.
- Work with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Assist Territory Managers with displays and other items as needed.
- Travel to and attend trade shows.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and internet software.
- Valid driver’s license.
