Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant provides essential support for the worship and work of the church. This part-time position involves assisting with administrative tasks, managing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a knack for organization, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
Maintain regular office hours and meet with the pastor on a weekly basis.
Oversee the drafting and printing of weekly worship bulletins and materials.
Answer and return phone calls and emails through the church office.
Maintain church and office supply needs. Manage the church calendar.
Manage the weekly e-newsletter.
Perform general office duties such as printing , filing, photocopying, and organizing documents.
Qualifications:
Previous administrative experience is preferred, particularly in a church or non-profit setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with learning new software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
