Top Community Development Executive leads and plans all aspects of an organization's economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Develops and maintains relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify business development opportunities. Being a Top Community Development Executive establishes the policies guiding the community development strategy and ensures the organization's compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Contributes to marketing efforts to foster company visibility and awareness of projects or initiatives. Additionally, Top Community Development Executive monitors ongoing initiatives to evaluate progress and efforts. Researches and evaluates current and future community needs to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Community Development Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Top Community Development Executive typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.     This is a unique dual-hatted role, where we are looking for that rare combination hunter (BD) and closer (Capture). Someone with hands on BD and Capture experience and success. Someone who can build and qualify a robust pipeline across selected agencies and accounts and someone who can close those opportunities by developing truly unique differentiation. The role requires a combination of re-competes and new business, but very heavy focus on new business generation. This is a special opportunity for the right individual who has the experience and drive to win large $50M-$500M new business pursuits.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Identify and qualify new business opportunities to develop robust pipeline ($750M per year)
    • Bid qualified new business opportunities ($500M per year)
    • Win new business opportunities ($167M per year) – 33% new business win rate
    • Work with Chief Growth Officer to identify promising new accounts and opportunities to pursue
    • Find, bid and close new business opportunities at a fast-growing company with outstanding qualifications and customer references
    • ability to find new opportunities and develop differentiated and compelling value proposition for our government customers

    Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

    • At least five (5) years of experience and success with business development and capture for U.S. Federal customers
    • Proven track record of finding and winning single award new business opportunities valued at $50M - $500M, looking for recent success within the past 5 years
    • A record of winning /capturing DoD BOS contracts preferred, but related experience is acceptable

    Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field; master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in business development
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with government contracting or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, e-mail and website programs.
    • Ability to read and follow solicitation instructions.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    Physical, Environmental and Sensory Requirements

    • Work environment is a typical office setting.
    • Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
    • Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
    • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time
