Training Center Manager manages all operational activities of the training center including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers. Develops corporate training center strategies and initiatives that reflect the organizations goals. Being a Training Center Manager prepares business plans that support the operation of the center and adhere to budget. May collaborate with educational institutions to provide additional or specialized training. Additionally, Training Center Manager may be responsible for supervising trainers and instructors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Training Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Training Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION: 

    Performs complex administrative tasks.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Types business letters, memorandums, reports, charts, etc. on a personal computer.
    • Composes and prepares routine correspondence for signature.
    • Oversee and assist the SGA Executive board with planning, assignments, and scheduled events.
    • Instruct Advanced Leadership and schedule student employees into          the class
    • Oversee the Student Behavior Council 
    • Establishes and maintains confidential files and records.
    • Maintains calendar and schedules appointments; sends/receives incoming and outgoing mail and faxes; and follow-ups on dates for action items.
    • Maintains student incentives system.
    • Pulls student termination records and files in Data Integrity Department. 
    • Orders and maintains office supplies and equipment.
    • Operates office machines and instructs others in the operation of same.

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

    • Demonstrated ability to carry out oral and written instructions. 
    • Ability to generate standard business letters, forms, contracts, proposals, presentations, etc.  Strong understanding of and ability to use internet search engines
    • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of information. 
    • Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative manner.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; excellent customer service skills
    • Proficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Excel, Power Point, Desktop Publishing, Outlook, etc. 
    • Ability to operate office equipment

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    OTHER:

    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
