JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Transportation & Logistics Manager will oversee the Transportation Department and report to senior management. This candidate's responsibilities include but are not limited to: effectively and efficiently managing both company and third-party truck drivers, overseeing deliveries to customer locations, externally communicating with customers, internally communicating with sales and Dispatch teams, and organizing key performance indicators for senior management daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

PAY:

• Varies with experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage company drivers and coordinate with shop, office, and field operations on truck repairs, special projects, and reporting
• Monitor drivers and deliveries of frac sand throughout the entire Permian Basin and other operating areas
• Promote and emphasize the Company’s strong safety practices and procedures
• Ensure that safety and DOT compliance standards are fully enforced and followed
• Provide and review proper documentation according to local, state, and federal agencies
• Analyze and improve logistical and operational activity
• Supervise driver managers and facilitate discipline and recognition of company drivers and owner operators
• Maintain internal documents tracking operational efficiency, driver rosters, key customers, etc.
• Report key performance indicators to senior management on a daily basis
• Develop and implement transportation strategies and policies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 10 years of in transportation or logistics experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations (state and federal)
• Experience in the oil and gas industry and/or frac sand hauling business
• Extremely strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work well with others and be part of a team
• Proactive in planning and reporting to senior management
• Strong interpersonal skills with a calm and pragmatic approach
• Ability to be liaison between field and office
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a normal office environment where the candidate can sit/stand for extended periods of time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

A candidate must be able to lift 10-15 lbs and be able to sit/stand most of the time.

EXPERIENCE:

• Transportation and Logistics: 10 years
• Oilfield Services (preferred): 5 years
• Frac sand (preferred): 5 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
